PURCHASED!
VERY NICE!!!
? Though: There is a statement about how we'd receive a discount code on the dead-tree version...
"If you buy the electronic version now, you will receive a discount code for a future pdf/book bundle of your choice."
I never got this code with my download.
Also, I've never bought a physical book from RPGNow's POD service,
will it have my name and order number at the bottom of every freakin' page like the PDF does???
Watermarks are stupid and ruin the look of the PDFs as is, which is why I ALMOST DIDN'T fork out close to $20 for this otherwise beautiful looking e-Book.
If it would've been available at e23, pigames.net or ANYWHERE ELSE that don't diminish quality products by stamping a name and order number at the bottom of every page, I would've bought it there instead...
But it was (unfortunately) only available there.

Yeah, it's come down to doing whatever is necessary in my humbled state .
I just want to be able to pick up a core RB/Box Set of Crimson Blades & play
Red Sonja, Solomon Kane, Conan, Elric of Melnibone', Kull, or even
Dar the Beastmaster, Deathstalker, or The Sword and the Sorcerer if the mood strikes .
Now, up to the Crimson Lords supplement we certainly got Conan, Elric, Kull, Deathstalker & TSatS all covered.
The Beastmaster I suppose could be considered covered if using the options provided under the Barbarian umbrella,
although having their own class with different progression, HD & bonuses, options, etc would make them more unique.

And, according to Simon, I guess he has Solomon Kane all squared away now with the "Redeemer" class (this must be new to this version of CB, because I've never seen it)?

Well, that leaves just a Fighter-type class that would provide options with HD progression similar to Barbarians (Sonja and Conan were pretty evenly matched), less strength, wear only chainmail bikini or leather armour, have almost paladin-like virtues (chastity unless bested in combat, compelled to free all slaves, avenge the wronged, etc.)...

Well, those are the only thoughts I have on that She-Devil class at the mo, but I KNOW Simon can do so much better than any noob like me (to this game) can provide.
Thanks all,
much love.

Simon, heres where the original convo came about:

Would a ''she-devil with a sword'' be best tailored to the barbarian or fighter schemes? I get the cosmetic changes like giving her a chain mail bikini, a semi-virtuous code, etc. As for the puritan, adjusted wayfarer but allowing leather? Guns are available in WW Out West & At Sea which I own, so no issues there. Maybe a slightly better attack vs. otherworldly foes?

To which you responded:

For the puritan-guy, I'd probably tinker with the Hunter from my Sabres & Witchery
(go to my website, its there as a free d/l) - If i get a mo, I'll post my version.
For the she-devil with a sword, I'd saya fighter or barbarian would be ok -
maybe I'll work something more specific up too.

So, having a "Witch" is cool, don't get me wrong, but it's not gonna pull off a RS She-Devil with a Sword-style class.

I can honestly say I'm no deadbeat fan when it comes to your wares.
I've purchased pretty much everything you've put out and even all the companies who put out ANYTHING for your BoL engine (everything Dicey Tales 1&2, BotA, Heroes of Hellas, H+I & their adventures, etc. etc. ad nauseam).
Heck, I even bought all your Woodland Warriors stuff!
So really, I just wanted some help with  a couple classes to make 'em work for your brand new Crimson Blades line without being too unbalanced or over-the-top. Who better would know that system than you?
I really want this to be a one-stop go-to game for all dark fantasy/S&S. I'ts that AWESOME!!!

You know what?
Despite all I've given, I'll even change my stand on the box set thing if it would guarantee those two classes would happen!
As urbwar and I both stated, we don't have room for them - that's why "GIT".
I've been collecting since the 70's and I have an entire ROOM filled with bookshelves, and ha

What would you want to see in the box, besides the 4 books? Give us your thoughts and feedback because it will help us decide... what you all want!

Well, for me, I'd still very much like to see classes for both
The Puritan/Witch-Hunter & The She-Devil
that we discussed way back...

I truly believe they would work brilliantly in this setting.
Leaving no stone unturned, every gamer could then play whatever dark fantasy/Sword & Sorcery
setting they desire without switching systems!
Aside from that, an expanded Bestiary would be helpful as well.

Still not crazy AT ALL on a box (a view others besides me share on the 'boards as well),
but at the very least, I'd drop enough coin on the KS for the PDF & print my own book.

Would there be a regular version as well? Honestly, I don't have an interest in boxed sets anymore because I don't have the room for them.

I know what Simon said, I was agreeing with urbwar though...
Some prefer boxed sets, some obviously don't.

I'll second a book version as well. A single volume containing all of this would be great. Plus, having the Solomon Kane & Red Sonja-type classes and an expanded bestiary would only make a great game even better!

Wow, thanks for the quick reply Mr. Washbourne!
And to be sure, anything you whip together would be greater than my inexperience in this new system could muster for either... I'll just yield to the eventual coming of the master's versions of a Witch Hunter and She-Devil, then. I know they'll rock the Sutral camel's behind!!!

Excellent! Love the concept, use of 6-siders, the game is steeped in  brilliance I would like to know if anyone has suggestions on incorporating other Howard-esque classes such as a puritan or she-devil? What hit die advancements would be most comparable? Things like that... Really any and all help would be appreciated! I really want this to be my go-to game for pulp fantasy. Albino Elves, Barbarians, Beastmasters, Puritans, She-Devils, Wizards & Thieves... Oh, the awesome that is Crimson Blades oozes forth!!!
