Another idea I had was this:
Many centuries ago several men and women can together to find a way to resist the Dendrelyssi. They were painfully aware of the shortcomings of their physical might and dared not tap the otherworldly menance in sorercy and thus turned to the power within. In time these few from all walks of life from from former slaves to former sovereigns became formidiable and eventually built the great Shinining Fortress.
As usual the Dendrelyssi scoffed at the idea of a humans especially unarmed ones aa threat. But, at least well after over a century of ignoring the Wayfarer threat the Dendrelyssia attacked.
It is said that Heads of Disciples ordered the disciples to spread to the four winds . A handful of the Wayfarers defended the Shining Fortress while the Dendrelyssi forces stormed the Shining Fortress. The Fortress and presumably all the defenders were destroyed but no Dendrelyssi left that battle alive.

Versus the Dendrelyssi - alternative campaign idea or time-travelling scenario idea.
The party are a bunch of humans (rebels, guns for hire, free traders or criminals) or renegade Dendrelyssi where the Crimson Lands are occupied by the White-eyed overlords in the autumn years of the Dendrelyssi Empire. Both PCs and NPCs must pick/roll for Character concepts as per the Blakes 7 rpg on the BBG site:
e.g. Fanatic - The Dendrelyssi must pay for what they have done. You will not rest until you see their empire utterly destroyed. You don't care what it takes and you don't care what damage you cause on the way. If innocents are caught up in your private crusade then so be it; the greater purpose must be served.

Nice idea - good to see my B7 RPG get a mention too!

With all the talk of BoL: Mythic, I'd just like to say that Crimson Lords is now out:

Excellent! Love the concept, use of 6-siders, the game is steeped in brilliance I would like to know if anyone has suggestions on incorporating other Howard-esque classes such as a puritan or she-devil? What hit die advancements would be most comparable? Things like that... Would a ''she-devil with a sword'' be best tailored to the barbarian or fighter schemes? I get the cosmetic changes like giving her a chain mail bikini, a semi-virtuous code, etc. As for the puritan, adjusted wayfarer but allowing leather? Guns are available in WW Out West & At Sea which I own, so no issues there. Maybe a slightly better attack vs. otherworldly foes? Really any and all help would be appreciated! I really want this to be my go-to game for pulp fantasy. Albino Elves, Barbarians, Beastmasters, Puritans, She-Devils, Wizards & Thieves... Oh, the awesome that is Crimson Blades oozes forth!!!

Thanks - real glad you like it.
For the puritan-guy, I'd probably tinker with the Hunter from my Sabres & Witchery (go to my website, its there as a free d/l) - If i get a mo, I'll post my version.
For the she-devil with a sword, I'd saya fighter or barbarian would be ok - maybe I'll work something more specific up too.

Wow, thanks for the quick reply Mr. Washbourne!
And to be sure, anything you whip together would be greater than my inexperience in this new system could muster for either... I'll just yield to the eventual coming of the master's versions of a Witch Hunter and She-Devil, then. I know they'll rock the Sutral camel's behind!!!

Anyone having fun with Crimson Blades/Crimson Lords? Like to share?

How about a boxed set of four A5 books?
The books would be:
1) Crimson Blades: Characters & Combat
2) Crimson Lords: Strongholds & Sieges
3) Crimson Scrolls: Mysteries & Monsters
4) Crimson Lands: Domains & Dangers
