I’d go with the James Silke interpretation; the books provide a great deal of background information about the world around the Death Dealer and Frazetta did commission the writing of the novels.
I must read them!

The problem is the books have been out of print for many years and I haven't found them in ebook format. You can occasionally find them floating around on ebay, but they tend to go for ridiculous prices, especially considering that they were mass market paper backs...
The book titles were:
1- Prisoner of the Horned Helm
2- Lords of Destruction
3- Tooth and Claw
4- Plague of Knives

Wield seems like a new take on Bloodlust. It'll be cool to see how the finished product looks.

I saw all four books for over $100.00. I'll confess I was temped, but that's just too much for me to justify.
I've been waiting to get word on whether it would be okay for me to post a link to my dropbox on the forum. I have a PDF copy of all four Glenn Danzig Death Dealer comics from the 90's I wanted to share, but I didn't want to do anything out of bounds on here. In the meantime, if anyone is interested, PM me and I'll send you the link.

Prisoner of the Horned Helm and Lords of the Destruction are the best of the four.
