By the way, I rolled for the expected scene: Current Context

I have an idea as to how to set up for the next scene, so once you add to this scene, I could set it up if you like, it will involve the so-called pursuers of Kemila and her Barbarian protector!
To be clear, you got another interrupt? If so, I’m fine with your setup. I might even wager that this idea is the expected scene. ;)

No, not another interrupted scene, just moving to the expected scene, sorry to be confusing. When I rolled the expected scene, I had rolled the interrupted scene which was the meeting of the new NPCs, so this next scene would be the expected scene that would have been played out based on its current context moving forward from that interrupted scene. I hope that makes sense, and that I understand the process of how to build from interrupted scenes. I am guessing you don't have to reroll another random event each time, but just move from the current scene to the next current context, which in this case I had rolled anyway.
In either case, let's assume that Kemila's Barbarian protector is from the Axos Mountains, and that he was yelling threats in Axian, and his name is Erkill. He speaks limited Lemurian, but was infautiated with Kemila's beauty so he was "persuaded" to help her.
New NPCs:
Kemila

Strength -1 Initiative 1
Agility 2 Melee 0
Mind 0 Ranged -1
Appeal 1 Defense 2

Erkill (Kemila's the Barbarian protector)

Mind 0 Ranged -1

Careers: Barbarian 2
Weapons: Spear (d6+3) Protection: None

I think I'm getting confused because I'm seeing the procedures of an interrupt for an expected scene. If the result is > CF, then there's no need to roll on the event focus or meaning tables. It happens as we expect. In this case, it probably is what I'd expect anyway, but that's where my confusion comes from.
I'm totally with you on Erkill. Awesome! He's a scary bugger. I'll be a bit busy in the meanwhile, so go ahead and post if you have time for the scene.

Yes, sorry about the confusion as I still am figuring all these nuances out, it was a roll against the CF which resulted in the interrupt scene. So now on to the expected scene.....
After a rapid set of introductions to each other, Erkill suddenly stares with wide eyes open after Valda's introduction and pointing at himself excitedly grunts, "Like me!" One-Eyed Norf begins to shake his head in disgust, "The difference between the savages from the Mountains and warriors from Valgard," he thinks to himself. As the group starts to argue over what to do next, suddenly from the West they can see a dust cloud forming, betraying the movement of a large body of persons. The group can see that the cause of this dust cloud is an undead army marching behind a sinister-looking demon figure. The figure points ahead to the group, indicating their presence has been recognized. As the group begins to debate what to do next, Kemila silently slips behind Delfina and covertly deposits the stolen magical parchment she had in her possession into the pocket of Delfina's skirt. One-Eyed Norf muses that they must run for it, but realizes that the undead army is already too close to their position to allow the group to escape successfully. Realizing they have no choice but to fight, he calls to the others, "By Shazzadion, nowhere for us to go, we must stay and fight. To arms!" He draws his cutlass. Kal and Erkill ready their weapons as well.
So for the combat, we can use your idea of breaking up the combat into different groups. I think we can break up the PC and NPC heroes into the following groups:
One-Eyed Norf, Valda, Delfina & Kal, and Kemila & Erkill. Both Delfina and Kemila are non-combatants in fighting.
The Villains will be the Devouring-Demon and two groups of 10 skeletal bloodless soldiers (rabble) The Demon will attack One-Eyed Norf and if she chooses to fight it, Valda, one group of bloodless soldiers will attack Delfina and Kal, the other group will fight Kemila and Erkill. The Demon will only attack if attacked, its goal is to capture Delfina since she possesses the magical parchment, which the Demon can magically sense upon her person. It will accomplish this capture of Delfina in 3 rounds unless defeated.
Devouring-Demon (Lesser Demon)
This is an 8-foot tall, obese, fleshy monster with squat hairy legs, a huge gaping and drooling mouth, and a row of deadly sharp teeth.
Attributes Combat Abilities
Strength 4 Melee 4
Agility 0 Ranged –1
Mind 3 Defense 2
Appeal –1
Lifeblood 20 Damage (d6+4)
Demonic Powers (2)
Armor (-3) Malleable Flesh
One-Eyed Norf's Priority Roll: 1 (Initiative) + 1 (Mind) + 7 = success!
I will wait to start combat until you roll Valda's priority roll, if she succeeds, she should go first since she is a bit quicker than the lumbering One-Eyed Norf with her higher agility

So I was thinking about this scene again, and I think we can handle it this way if you like. The 2 skeleton hordes run before the Demon and attack our heroes. Valda and Erkill are attacked by one group, while One-Eyed Norf is attacked by the other group. Kal is guarding Delfina, and Kemila is standing behind them. While the skeleton hordes attack the PCs, the Demon will attack Kal to get Delfina. Kemila will run at the first sign of trouble, while Kal will fight to the death, as will Erkill.
Skeleton Hordes Lifeforce: 20 (2 points each)
One-Eyed Norf attacks Skeleton horde: 2 (melee) + 1 (agility) + 5 = fail
On silent command, the skeleton hordes begin to charge forward in front of their demon leader. One group rushes towards One-Eyed Norf, while the other rushes towards Valda and her new Barbarian friend, Erkill, who readies his spear for their assault. As the skeletons reach One-Eyed Norf, they begin to form a circle around him dancing around him as they move to attack him. One-Eyed Norf waves his cutlass, but misses them, because of their constant dancing back and forth in an almost deadly unison.
Skeleton horde attacks One-Eyed Norf: +10 (horde #) - 2 (defense) + 6 = success!
Damage: -2
One-Eyed Norf attack: 2 (melee) + 1 (agility) + 8 = success!
Damage: -5
The skeletons dance around One-Eyed Norf, who struggles to keep them in sight due to his blind-eye side. Not seeing some of them as they attack, they land strikes upon him, cutting him with their rusted spears. Enraged, One-Eyed Norf screams, "By Shazzadion, you devils will surely die for that!" Swinging his cutlass he lands a mighty blow on some of them breaking them into pieces with his strike.
Skeleton horde attack: 8 (horde) - 2 (defense) + 6 = success
Damage: -2
One-Eyed Norf attack: 2 (melee) + 1 (agility) + 9 = success (Hero Point for Mighty Success)
damage: (Rabble Slayer): 7 skeletons killed
After another successful hit by the skeletons as they attack again Norf's blind side, he sweeps his mighty cutlass and wipes out nearly the entire hoard missing only one skeleton in the process, reducing them to broken pieces as they shatter apart from his attack.
Skeleton horde attack: critical failure (2):
Although he cannot strike the last skeleton, it falls apart as if the sinister magic that held it animated can no longer maintain its power due to the sudden loss of the rest of its bloodless companions. "By Shazzadion, that was close!" One-Eyed Norf exclaims relief as he looks around to see how the others in his party fared.

Sorry... I'm in a busy stretch. I might have time later tonight to get caught up. Appreciate you pushing things along.

No worries! I am sure there will be times when you're doing the same for me! I will reveal the outcome of the attempted capture of Delfina after Valda and Erkill's battle with the Skeleton horde to place it in a real-time context.

Fate Check. Do the majority (1d6+3) of the skeletons attack Valda? (50/50) No (9)
8 attack Erkill and 2 on Valda.
Priority Roll (Valda). 11 + 1 (mind) + 0 (initiative) = success!
Priority Roll (Erkill). 8 + 1 (initiative) + 0 (mind) = success!
As One-Eyed Norf wades into combat, a detachment of the shambling corpses occupy the attentions of the barbarian pair. Valda draws her new blade, eager to test its resilience. Erkill shouts his signature war-cry, whirling his great spear in circles over his head. This seems to incite most of the horde — these close with surprising speed.
Round 1
Erkill attacks. 10 + 2 (melee) + 1 (agility) = success. Damage 2 + 3 (strength) = 1 corpse destroyed.
Valda attacks her 2. BOXCARS! + 2 (agility) + 2 (melee) = mighty success! Her minimum damage takes out her foes using rabble slayer.
7 rabble attack Erkill. 6 + 7 - 0 (defense) = hit! Damage 1 (Erkill has 7 Lifeblood)
Erkill skewers the first within reach of the walking with a mighty thrust, picking the entire corpse from the ground at the end of his spear haft and flinging it aside before being mobbed by the clawing and kicking remainder. Valda’s sortie is one of great speed. She rushes the two blocking her way, slicing one easily in half and hamstringing the other on the follow-through, finding herself now several steps closer to joining with Erkill’s lot.
Round 2
Erkill attacks again. 8 + 2 (melee) + 1 (agility) = success. His minimum damage slays another
Valda attacks Erkill’s group. 10 + 2 (agility) + 2 (melee) = success. 1 hero point spent to make another mighty success to achieve rabble slayer. Damage. 1 (no!) + 1 (strength). 2 defeated.
Remaining rabble (4) split in 2 and attack each…
vs. Erkill. 3 + 2 = 5 Miss!
vs. Valda. 4 + 2 - 2 (defense) = Miss!
The Axian brute shakes off one of the biting bloodless from his back, crushing its skull with the butt of his spear shaft while others try in vain to bring him down. Valda’s attack brings her now to his side, cleaving into the throng. Desiccated limbs are severed, and shriveled heads emancipated from skeletal shoulders. Now there are but four remaining.
Round 3
Erkill. 8 + 1 (agility) + 2 (melee) succeeds. Minimum damage destroys another
Valda. 4 + 2 (agility) + 2 (melee) misses!
1 attacks Erkill. 4 is a miss
2 attack Valda. 7 + 2 - 2 (defense) is a miss
Erkill crushes another under his boot after knocking it back. Valda, however, faces two cadavers possessing some semblance of martial skill. Together, her two foes put her on her heels as she gets on the defensive, thwarting their blows with barely placed parries and feints.
Round 4
Erkill. 10 + 1 + 2 destroys his last.
Valda. 8 + 2 + 2 succeeds. Minimum damage destroys one.
Last rabble vs. Valda. 4 (a miss)
and one more round…
Round 5
Erkill. 9 + 1 + 2 slays the last.
Two more fall under the combined strokes of Valda and Erkill, leaving only one remaining. Sensing its moments were quickly numbered, the thing put on more fight, but the Axian finished it by staking it to the ground with the tip of his spear and kicking its skull across the intervening space toward One-Eyed Norf, who had just dispatched his ten single-handedly.
Finally finished a post! Erkill has 7 Lifeblood. Back to you…
Valda. 11 Lifeblood. 4 Hero Points.

Excellent!
Demon attacks Kal: 4 (melee) + 11 = success!
Damage: 6 + 4 (strength) = 10
Since Kal has only 9 lifeblood, he does not survive the attack!
As One-Eyed Norf sighs in relief at his victory over the Skeleton horde, he watches with delight and fascination as his Valgardian partner makes quick work of the group that has attacked her and her savage barbarian companion. Turning his eyes from Valda, he watches in horror as the Demon commander approaches Delfina nearly unmolested. Kal raises his weapon in a witness of bravery but is brutally cut down by the long claws that the creature possesses. Without a scream, the Kalkukan slave follows to the ground in a bloody mess, Kal's weapon flying harmlessly from his lifeless hand.
Does the Demon capture Delfina? (Very Likely) + 15 = Yes!
Before Delfina can defend herself, still in shock by the brutal attack on Kal, the Demon sweeps her off her feet. As she is kicking and cursing at it, the Demon springs forward leaping at a large distance, leaving the sight of One-Eyed Norf and the other adventurers! One-Eyed Norf races over to the motionless bloody body of Kal, but as he checks for signs of life from his fallen friend, his fears are realized when he finds that Kal is dead.
"It's a shame he died, but as long as the Demon is gone, maybe we have a chance to escape, finally!"
Looking up, he sees Kemila unharmed by the attack as the source of the remark. "We can't escape, Kemila, "One-Eyed Norf protests angrily, "don't you realize Delfina was going to help us get off this island! We now need to rescue her to accomplish that."
Kemila's eyes begin to grow with fear as his statement is suddenly realized. "I'm not going back there to that Wizard, I just want to go home," she begins to selfishly protest.
One-Eyed Norf walks to her, "You are going to help us since you are the only one that has been in his tower, and can help us find Delfina before it's too late!"
One-Eyed Norf uses his silver tongue boon: 3 (Lothario) + 1 (appeal) + 11 = success!
Fate Check: Does One-Eyed Norf know of Kemila? (Likely) + (CF 6) + 18 = Exceptional Yes!
Yikes! I rolled a double 9 in the fate check
Random Event: Ambiguous Event
Action Meaning: Carefully Enormous, Reward Illness
One-Eyed Norf begins to think to himself, "Well if you don't want to help us that will be fine, it will be one less share of the reward we will be receiving!"
Kemila's eyes widen, "Reward?"
"Yes, the reward we were going to acquire when we found the appropriate cure for the curse of the deep slumber. Delfina had tracked it down to the Red Wizard Riathu, but now we have to save her too, I guess."
"Well if you put it that way, then I think I am available to help out this one time for a large part of that reward," she muses. "After all, I am putting myself at risk, so I should be compensated for it!"
"I thought that you might agree," One-Eyed Norf says with a disbelieving stare. "Let's bury poor Kal, rest up, and prepare for our journey within the hour," he announces to the group.
As Kemila begins to survey the dead skeletons looking for treasures to keep, One-Eyed Norf pulls Valda off to the side. "We can't trust Kemila, just so you know. We are only using her help as far as she can prove useful. Remember when I said that there were one or two thieves worse than me in the Ragged Knaves? I was referring to her, not only because of her lack of skill but also because of how untrustworthy she is. Keep her in sight at all times, for she will turn on us the first moment that she can. I was warned by Jopor the thief, who was one of her former lovers of this. She may claim to know of me, but I know of her as well!"
We'll end the scene there, and start the next scene at the gate of Zalut, which they should be fairly close at this point. I think the Chaos Factor 6 should remain since they lost Delfina and Kal. Kemila now possesses a small dagger for a weapon which she found among the skeletons.
One-Eyed Norf (after rest)

I'm on a two day biz trip, so can't do much posting. Keep in mind that the double 9's only result in a random event if that digit is withing the CF range (which it isn't). I don't mind if you want to go that way with Kemila's untrustworthiness. It's part of you back story too.
I would say the CF goes to 7 for the next one since we didn't succeed in saving Delfina.
Valda is also saddened by Kal's demise. "I guess we will never know his story."
She listens as One-Eyed Norf elucidates on Kemila and her past. "Agreed. You know my feelings of general mistrust for everyone. However, Erkill is worthy. We might be able to manipulate her through the Axian if it comes to it."
