Valda. 10 Lifeblood. 5 Hero Points.
Some great picture choices there, for sure. I sort imagined the Bijou like a big, frumpy hag.
Valda frowns at the discovery, pondering on a course of action. “Doubtless if we leave him, her, er, it here, something will come and eat it alive. This water probably attracts other guests as well. I suggest you guard him, er, it. I’ll go fetch us something palatable for sup. Maybe some good smells will wake up our friend.”
In truth, Valda becomes more interested in the kalukan. Methyn Sarr’s servants are of this ilk… although a traditional interrogation seems out of the question.
Moderate hunting task. 6 + 1 (mind) + 1 (hunter) = failure
Fate Check. Does she come across telltale signs of some predatory nearby? (50/50) Yes (12) Normal Angry, Defend Emotion
With little luck scrounging up small game, she comes across small bones and tufts of hide. Something had been recently turned into a meal of recent. The trail leads to a narrow shadowed crevasse. She stops short when a low snarl breaks the silence. She has only her staff to defend herself as two yellow orbs shine maliciously from the depths of the unseen lair.
Valda turns and runs with a curse.
Fate Check. Does the predator give chase? (50/50) No (8)
Valda stumbles back to the fountain out of breath and pointing at something over her shoulder, even though nothing reveals itself. One-Eyed Norf can see that she is empty-handed.

Although One-Eyed Norf is disappointed, he chimes in, "By Shazzadion! Well, it's doubtful that there are any creatures around here that we can eat anyway. Maybe there might be something growing on the trees. In either case, I think we should stay here for the night, but I think we should take turns on watch, I will opt for the first shift, while you sleep, and then we can alternate. When you are on watch, you can use my kir, I am not sure that stick is going to make a huge difference." One-Eyed Norf begins to laugh, getting up and revealing his giant height.
Fact Check: Is there any food hanging from the nearby trees? (Unlikely) + (Chaos Factor 7) + 2 = Exceptional No (yikes, I rolled double 1s for a Random Event)
Random Event: NPC action
NPC: Delfina Khan!
Action Meaning: Praise Home
"By Shazzadion, this cursed land has nothing to eat!" One-Eyed Norf curses in anger.
"It has plenty to offer, luv if you treat her right!" a feminine voice shouts back playfully.
"Delfina!" One-Eyed Norf shouts for joy, "What are you doing out here?"
A small woman standing just over 4 feet tall, comes walking out of the trees to reveal herself. Valda immediately recognizes her small stature, but can not help but notice her ample bust size to compensate.
"Valda, this is Delfina the doll, the alchemist that we were looking for!" He points to her eagerly, "But again, Delfina, what are you doing out here?"
The small alchemist begins to smirk, "Well, I am an alchemist, and to make my inventions, I need ingredients, sometimes when they only come out at this time of night!"
"Do you have anything to eat?" he asks eagerly.
"Not here, but I have a small cottage, only about an hour from here, if the two of you would like to join me there, I would not mind the company, luv! It's my shelter when I come out looking for supplies. Come on, and follow me, unless you want to stay out here in the wild." With that, she heads back into the wilderness laughing, walking very briskly for a woman of so short stature.

Nice turn of events! I might suggest we treat this as a sub-region called Delfina's Hunting Grounds, a small region with her cottage as a known location. It would still require rollsvto get through. But we could also just set the next expected scene in her cottage. Maybe that's better?
Online!
That sounds good to me. Maybe these two need a break, otherwise they may never get to Zalut...ha! And by the way, let's not forget to bring along the sleeping Kalukan slave. One-Eyed Norf can easily carry him and has affectionately named him Kal.
I can roll the scene if you like, and I will check to see if it might be altered or interrupted. Since there was no action in the last scene, I will lower the Chaos Factor to 6.
Ok, I rolled against the Chaos Factor for the expected scene and got a 6 = interrupted scene
Random Event: Remote Event
Action Meaning: Take Idea, Pleaser Helpless
Fate Check: Is this person a human? Exceptional yes! (20)
While our trepid heroes make their way to the safety of Delfina the doll's cottage, a scantily clad slave girl named Kemila makes her way to the inner sanctum of her master's great vault, desiring to steal a prize possession before leaving his horrid tower. As she uses her former thieving skills to open the old door, she quietly squeezes her passage through its slightly ajar opening. Entering the room, Kemila can smell its foul odor of non-use which is overbearing, while a dying torch hanging on the wall dimly lights its interior. Although the air is foul from its seldom use, Kemila knows that she must be quick before her master discovers her absence from her nightly duties. Studying the parchments on the dusty shelves, she takes the oldest-looking one, unable to read the language inscribed upon it. Quickly making her way to the exit, she once again utilizes her trusty thieving skills to grant her freedom, fleeing into the night with her valuable prize that she intends to use to buy her freedom...
Who knows how that will come into play?!?! That is the first time I've rolled a remote event, ha!

Oh, that’s awesome! That sounds like a self-contained scene. Since neither of us were there to affect the outcome, I’d say the Chaos hikes back up to 7. Here’s a little bookkeeping…
Chaos Factor. 7
NPCs.

Excellent, many thanks for the compliment, you are a great partner to role-play with, this has been very fun! Valda and One-Eyed Norf were made for each other to team as misfits.
I have an idea as to how the expected scene will develop and I will post it when I have a bit more time to work on it, but they will start at Delfina the doll's cottage (an affectionate name I gave her since she is so small). I was wondering if we wanted to cross off a few NPCs from the list, specifically the first 4? I think we can both assume that the Capt. Vik and the crew of the Sea Pearl (love the new name!) are either dead or in a deep slumber, while the heroes are now in the interior part of the island where the storm and the sea are not an influence at this time with the story. Just a thought.
By the way, of course, One-Eyed Norf wants to solve the Curse of the Deep Slumber, and I think we found the name of our title for the adventure! He certainly wants to revive Kal and thinks that solving this problem it may lead to riches!

Since the scene was interrupted by the remote event, we will assume that our misfits arrived without any further incidents to their desired destination.....
Random Event: Close a thread (Procure the help of Delfina Zhan)
Action Meaning: Bleak Agree, Malice Fight
Cottage Location Description: Classy Valuables
As One-Eyed Norf and Valda struggle to keep up with the brisk walking of Delfina the doll, they expect sooner or later to come across a rustic-looking cottage that may offer them some shelter. However, both are surprised when they exit into the clearing of some trees to find a very large size house, which is surrounded by a fence to protect it, as it comes into their view. "Is this your place?" One-Eyed Norf asks, surprised by its sudden appearance, shocked by how different it was from his expectations.
"Yes, luv! Don't you remember it, you were here once before? Oh yes, that is right you were suffering from a dose of Dream Lotus which you accidentally inhaled thinking it was something else!" Turning to Valda, she shared with a wink, "He was running around naked claiming he was the Pirate King himself until I was finally able to stabilize his condition, it was so cute."
"Defina! I don't remember that, besides I vaguely remember some of those events as part of a dream!" One-Eyed Norf protested. "In either case, I don't remember this structure being as large as it was and as fortified!"
Delfina leads the pair through a side door after making a gesture in front of it, which allows it to open, passing through, she warmly announced, "Welcome to my humble abode! You will find that it has full amenities including food, clothes, supplies, and weapons!" Looking at One-Eyed Norf, she says, "You will find that you left some of your clothes here from the previous time, including a nasty old pipe that you insisted on smoking."
"By Shazzadion, that is a relief to know!" One-Eyed Norf begins to bellow with joy.
Looking at Valda she says, "While my clothes might be a bit small on you, you certainly have the inviting figure to wear them and turn some eyes to notice you in ways that I could never do!" She begins to laugh. One-Eyed Norf begins to change his clothes, then realizing he has an audience, suggests that he find another place to change where it might be more private. He returns a few minutes later with a new cutlass, smoking his pipe and looking much more refreshed despite still being hungry. Delfina shows Valda her collection of clothes and weapons, inviting her, "Don't be shy, we are friends since you hang around with this giant lug, luv!"
As the pair settle down for a prepared meal, One-Eyed Norf relays their adventures with Delfina, who listens very contently. Explaining their situation, he asks for her help. Without hesitation, Delfina offers to help them but explains that it will not be easy to secure safe passage from the island, she has desired to leave the island also for a long period of time as well. But she assures them that she will do her best to find the right people to help get them off the island.
It is then that One-Eyed Norf brings up the issue of the deep slumber. Delfina begins to ponder over this predicament, suggesting that it might be the work of magic by one of the sorcerers or an invention of one of the skilled alchemists. One-Eyed Norf questions her curiously, "Delfina, how is it that you avoided the curse of the deep slumber?" Delfina begins to rub her small hand over her chin, "I don't know, luv. I have over the years tried many potions as part of my experiments, maybe it gave me immunity from its effects? In either case, I will help you solve this mystery as well since it will be just as profitable to me as it would be to you. Agreed, luv?"
One-Eyed Norf knowing they need her help, especially with such powerful forces of magic such as this, cannot but help to agree with her and accept her help.
I will pause in this scene to see if you want to add to it or interact with Valda in any such way. You can even continue the scene if you want, I am open to whatever you decide. As with you, if an action involves One-Eyed Norf, you know him pretty well now, so feel free to decide how he would appropriately respond or act. Thanks!

I am caught up! Although I can't post just now, I will clean off the first four entries of the NPCs list. I'm a bit confused about the generation of the scene here. (I have no protests to the outcome of the scene itself!) It looks like this was a random event too? Normally, I would check my expectation as a new scene against the current chaos factor to see if it was altered or interrupted. I see Random Event, so I wonder if you got an interrupt?
I'll add to this later tonight...
Online!
Remember the random event with the slave girl? That was a result before rolling this scene, where I rolled it against the Chaos Factor and rolled a 6. So, that served as an interrupted scene before this expected scene, which I had rolled as a "close a thread" result. Not sure if that makes sense. It probably could have been done without it, but it was late last night when I rolled the stuff, so I could have easily done a Fate Check instead, Either way, the Action Meaning Words were the same. I am still trying to get the ebb and flow of the Mythic GM Emulator, so my apologies if it might be confusing.....
No worries, you can always continue the scene, as we figure this out, I think it might be easier to figure out appropriate responses for each character so that we can describe what they are doing instead of waiting for the other to comment each time, but I did not want to assume.

Ah, that makes sense! I didn’t see your roll, or any call out of setting a scene, which is why I was confused.
The talk of magic sends a shiver down Valda’s spine. “It isn’t natural,” she says under her breath absently as she peruses Delfina’s collection of weapons. The northron woman refuses the offered clothing with a dismissive hand. She is still far south of her homeland, where the heat and humidity is apt to cling to her skin. “I’ll only discard it.”
”Whatever you want, luv!” Is Delfina’s response.
She spies a worthy sword with a simple pommel recently wrapped with shagreen strips. She draws an inch from its scabbard to inspect the blade. Satisfied, she slings the belt over her shoulder. She finds a thigh harness with three throwing blades recently sharpened and oiled and secures it in place.
Valda listens to the exchange, having little to offer by way of consideration or thought. “Forgive me, but I have never before visited Zalut or this isle. I know not its customs. Why would passage be so hard to secure?”
Fate Check. Is it because of the fearsome lords of Zalut and their iron fist? (Very Likely) No! (10) Stop Surprise
Delfina and One-Eyed Norf share a wizened smirk. “Dearie, the powers-that-be in the City of Magicians are powerful. Beyond that, they are insanely paranoid. Traffic into and out of the port is highly regulated. They fear invasion by sea. Only so many ships enter and leave at one time, leaving vessels to pile up. Getting a ship is nigh impossible… and costly!”
Valda shrugs her shoulders. The subtleties of travel to and from Zalut be sea are either lost in her or disinterest her. “I for one would happily leave the mystery of the curse behind along with this unwelcome island. When do we leave?”
Of course, as a player, I am interested to see how this mystery unfolds.
