Question on Hero Points in the Character Creation
I read that you lose a Hero Point if you choose two background-origin boons, and lose two if you select another from the same list, leaving you with only three to start. Does this also count if the boon falls in the list of one of the careers, or did I read it wrong? Thanks!

The first boon is free. The second boon costs you either a flaw or a Hero Point. A third boon also costs a flaw or a Hero Point. Which lists the actual boons come from are not important as far as the cost is concerned; you either pay a flaw or a boon for each extra boon after the first.
Wealth can be wonderful, but you know, success can test one's mettle as surely as the strongest adversary.

Up to three boons for initial character creation, but you can have additional flaws especially if magic is involved or if you choose to, right?

Right. Up to three boons. You either take flaws or spend Hero Points for the second and third boons.
