Woohoo! I'll be taking a look tonight when I get home. Are there any early bird offers for pledging in the first day? This would be the first RPG book I've crowdfunded so I was wondering if the pdf be up on drivethrurpg?

We didn't design any special early bird offer for this first kickstarter campaign, since it's also our first run, so we want to keep thing as simple and controled as can be. But we're thinking about thanking early birds nonetheless, one way or another. We'll keep you informed in due time ;)
As for the pdf, it will be available for the backers as soon as the campaign ends or very few days later (this means in a few weeks max). A link will be sent to you and you will be able to download the pdf right away. I suppose it will also be available on Drivethru some time after that, but a little more expensive than during the KS.

Honestly, I'm disappointed with this KS. No hardcover option and shipping to Canada is extortionate (€38). I'm really thinking that a DriveThru voucher would have been a much better option. Right now, with the rubbish exchange rates for the Canadian dollar, I'm looking at $120 for one softcover book! I'm going to have to give this some serious thought and may have to pull out.
I was really excited about Ludospherik taking on the BoL license, and I was expecting the products to be similar to the already published English version of Lemurian Chronicles. Unfortunately, that is not what I'm seeing.

I just decided to downgrade my KS pledge to PDF only. Really disappointed about this KS.

Too bad but I understand.
As for the hardcover thing, you're not the only one complaining, but it is our decision to propose this version of the book and this one only, as we think it's really the best one and it sets the tone for the line to come (and we could compare with the hardcover german version)
But about the shipping fee to canada, we're really sorry but we have no way of making it cheaper, as we merely pass on the price given by our supplier.
Hopefully you'll like the pdf anyway!

I understand the issues around shipping costs are out of your control. I'm certainly not blaming you guys for that, but it really does make the KS very expensive, for those of us in Canada, for one book.
Regarding the hardcover, while I appreciate that this is the decision you have decided to make about the product line, I really do not agree. Gamers will always prefer the hardcover option over the softcover, and you already set the stall out when you made the Lemurian Chronicles book available in hardcover via DriveThru. That book turned out really well and, IMHO, has had some significant influence on how this KS has been so hotly anticipated.
I wish you the best of success on the KS and the BoL products in the future, but I do feel that you should have a rethink about making hardcovers available.

As a quick follow-up, Chris Rutkowsky of BASH! went the opposite direction for the Tome of Intriguing Options kickstarter for Honor+Intrigue. He went DriveThru POD for hardcover, including a reprint of the core rulebook which had originally only been available as a softcover.

I know what you mean Robert, I would also prefer hardback. However I think this is an economic decision forced on them by the economic situation and this being their first kickstarter for a core book, as well as being their artistic choice (core and later supplements being all of one look). However, I will go for this as my Mythic hardback has finally detached from it's binding as much use.
