Projects and Inventions?

Do you use these rules, and if so, how?  They both seem to be the same thing, just named differently?  If there are multiple weeks before an adventure, couldn't a player complete several projects in that time?
The rules seem a bit vague here and any kind of clarification would help!

Sorry, I don't use those rules, so I can't help. I agree that the rules are not clearly worded. Also, lile with the Challenge Dice rules, I think they seemed a bit unnecessarily detailed, unlike the clear Alchemy rules in BoL

I'll have to take a look at those rules in BoL; thanks!
Yeah, I like the EW rules, but it could have benefitted from another editing pass.  I've filled in a lot of gaps using H&I as well as the Tome of Options.

Re: Projects and Inventions?

I was suffering from D&D brainrot when I first read the rules.  It says that Downtime Projects are worked on between adventures, requiring at least one week of free time to complete.  I took this as a one-for-one formula, but it's supposed to represent a nonspecific amount of time passing.  My players are very detail oriented, so this is going to be an adjustment.  They also want to craft/build like crazy, so I need to strike that balance of keeping it fun while not breaking the game.
