I heard about Wychwood Brewery being closed. That was also owned by Carlsberg Marston's Brewing Company and was another of the smaller breweries being shutdown by this company. I'm looking to boycott anything they own from now on!

You're probably right about Theah. I can't quite recall what put me off of it when I first checked it out. Think I've got a bunch of the PDFs, so I should probably revisit.
The most common suggestions I receive (elsewhere) is 7th Sea and Warhammer Fantasy/The Old World.

A friend of mine is big on WFRP and would recommend Warhammer to you, but I don't know enough about the setting myself. It sounds like it is worth checking out as well.
