Introduced My Nephews to BoL - they loved it!
Last week my sister's family stopped by our house on their vacation. My two nephews, 14 & 12, were introduced to RPGing via the BoL game.
I ran a simple fantasy style game using BoL rules - they played two dwarven brothers adventuring in the land of Elyntia (from The Fantasy Trip). The rules were perfect (though I did change weapon damage to d8,d6,& d4 so that they could use their different dice) and the game played very smoothly.
BoL has rapidly become my and my wife's favorite system!

You should check out Simon's BoL Hack - it does a great job of blending BoL with old school d20 and makes good use of different dice.
Wealth can be wonderful, but you know, success can test one's mettle as surely as the strongest adversary.
