Paragaea - A Planetary Romance by Chris Roberson is an entertaining read. Not LotR but good fun and perfect material for a Sword and Planet version of BoL.
Yes, I second the motion! I thoroughly enjoyed Paragaea when I read it some time back, and it's nice to hear someone else talk it up.
I ran a Paragaea- and Alex Raymond-Flash Gordon-influenced BoL S&P game a few years back and had a lot of fun. Dropped magic in favor of psionics and "rayguns" from BotA (I'll borrow from BotV next time) and tweaked a few monsters -- easy-peasy!
On a related note, I've been talking up Burroughs' John Carter stories to my 8-year-old nephew lately. He may still be a tad young for the books, but he's definitely intrigued. Looking forward...

Have you looked at Swords of Almuric? It's a BoL version of Robert E. Howard's sword & planet novel Almuric.

Never heard of Almuric (til just now). Is there a place to go that lists all the BoL add-on books?
Also looks like Cavaliers of Mars is still being worked on (near as I can tell):
PS - thanks for the Almuric tip!

Except that it seems the link points to another link ( ), which does not appear to work; in fact the Onyx Path site appears to be completely down. Not really sure what to make of this

Swords of Almuric is based on Robert E. Howard's Almuric, which was his take on a Sword & Planet story.

So, the link to Onyx Path seems to be back up. The only thing I've noticed about the Cavaliers of Mars game is that it now appears to be using the Wushu rules instead of BoL.
