Did you write any exemplary scenario? Are you going to release such a product? It's the best advertisement for a setting. One could find out how it works, about world, people, rules, meet leitmotiv, etc.
There'll be an adventure in Crimson Lords.

Is there a rough release date for Crimson Lords?

Not really...but I'd estimate within a month or so.

Hello Simon,
Is there a differnce between the Lore roll of a PC and Lore roll of a Demon of Knowledge?
What stops them from being redundant?
You mentioned that if the demon is bound and doesn't know the answer it will attempted to find out in 2-12 hours. Does this mean that it gets a second roll after that time has passed?
Any suggestions for GM's to stop PC from abusing the demon's lore rolls by just asking a lot questions?

1) PC lore I'd say relates to fairly "common" knowledge or stuff relating to a PCs interests (say to do with his character class - so a fighter might know stuff about a recent battle that took place, for example...or a sorcerer might knowsome stuff about demonology (but not specific demon names)). Demon Lore is everything and anything...obscure facts, demon names and so on that PCs couldn't possibly know.
2) The GM
3) I'd say he finds the answer (no roll needed) in that time, unless another Demon stops him or something like that, but that would be down to the situation and so on - as a GM you'd have to have a good reason he shouldn't be able to get the answer
4) Well, you don't just summon demons for fun...it's hard enough to do at the best of times - you need a good reason to risk summoning a demon. The demon might lie to you or try to trick you - he might get right p*ssed off or bored if you just ask stupid questions all the time. A stupid sorcerer gets a name in the demon world - the really bad ones will be lining up to be summoned, so they can defeat him and then be loose to do as they please in the Crimson Lands

Thanks for your response which leads to another question concerning the above quote. I mentioned a bound demon of knowledge in my orginal question. So, is a bound demon at your beck and call or does it depend for what purpose it was bound for?
I assume a bound demon of combat or protect is always on and functioning. As for other types of bound demons is this the case too?
Can a bound demon ever break free?
Thanks in advance,
HN

Yes, a bound demon is basically its master's servant, but look upon at as a servant with an attitude -always looking for ways to test his master.
For a bound demon of combat/protection, yes it is but again it is always looking for chinks. Perhaps, in your game they have a chance to break free if their master is ever knocked unconcious or posessed by another demon or charmed by a spell/ability. you don't want to make it a regular thing, but you do want to give that ever-present incertainty.
Maybe I'll add some more pointers in Crimson Lords...
Basically, Crimson Lords is your game and you do what works for you and your group. I don't necessarily have all the answers but I deliberately left it open so that GMs (maybe working with reasonable players who don't mind their demons breaking free once in a while - think of the role playing possibilities) can find their own answers.

Love the name Necrolorn.
Concerning healing, it mentions on pg 43 '' the various magical means of restoring HP". I don't recall seeing any healing spells. Is this something you are putting into the hands of the GM or something for Crimson Lords?
Ah, I did see the heal skill under the witch NPC. Btw, I think that is also a great class. Might make a good optional PC class

There is intentionally very little healing. Demons of Desire can heal you. Fleshcrafters can heal you (!). NPC witches can heal you. other than that you are largely on your own. Try not to get hurt!
