BoL in Space / Barbarians of the Void

While looking for Traveller/BoL mashups, I stumbled across Barbarians of the Void. The originating thread is here: https://championsoflemuria.boardhost.com/viewtopic.php?id=61). It seems to be an extinct hobby project, and most of the links in that thread are dead now. I've only found a couple versions (called 2.02 and 2.1) floating around, and was curious if there's a silent "official" repository for it. Alternatively, is there another more recent BoL fork that does something similarly Traveller-esque? Thanks!

Re: BoL in Space / Barbarians of the Void

While I am not aware of any BoL/Traveller mash-ups aside from Barbarians of the Void, I do recall a Star Wars fan effort from way back. These are the only two BoL in Spaaace works I can recall.

However, while it doesn't help you now, I should mention that Garnett Elliott is working on a supplement called ‘Space Pulp’. Unfortunately, aside from it not being published yet, it is not a BoL supplement, but a supplement for Everywhen. But when it is published it should be easy to convert back to BoL from Everywhen as they are both BoL mechanics games.

Mr Elliott produces excellent work, and ‘Space Pulp’ will allow you to produce most sorts of SF settings aside from hard sf. As well as that the supplement will feature four settings, one of which ‘Dirty Plastic’ seems closest to Traveller in it’s space truckers mode. Garnett has released beta bits and pieces of what he’s working on, which he shared on MeWe and also Facebook. The inspirations for ‘Dirty Plastic’ are given as: Alien, Aliens, Neuromancer, Silent Running, Outland, and numerous classic and indie rpgs.

Ah, that's great to hear! I've got Sword+Sorcery Codex to use as a BoL supplement, but i haven't yet gotten Everywhen proper. Knowing a space supplement is on the way means I'll probably go ahead and pick it up shortly. (Plus, I've long had my eye on some of its weird little setting supplements.)

Thanks for the heads up.
