Re: Back to Barbarians of Lemuria - some different settings/campaigns

Sounds wonderful! I hope you’ll share your exploits. I’ve been craving to read some good sword and sorcery play reports,

Re: Back to Barbarians of Lemuria - some different settings/campaigns

"...Rykard - a former Copper Helm Guard turned enforcer for the thief's guild, didn't make it out of the tower..."

"Poor Rykard, I knew him Horatio." - is it just me, or can I see that as a great line in a S&S film:

<Bloke holding onto the horses> "Where's Rykard?"
<Hero, mounting up> "He didn't make it out of the tower."
<Horse holder> "He owed me 10 Crowns!"

Glad to hear you're still swinging swords Sigulf!!

Re: Back to Barbarians of Lemuria - some different settings/campaigns

Back on Post 54 of this thread (so long ago now!) I posted about my proposed Tyre game. I've still not run it.

Alison has been running a great 'historical fantasy' game about a Gothic clan around AD 210, so we've been getting our S&S gaming in; while I've been running mostly 1930s games, currently some South Seas/Asian adventures - Shanghai was as lively as ever! But these are coming to an end now, I think.
I'm writing a WW2 game set in 1944 Italy for the Christmas break,, but for the new year I think Tyre is on the cards.

I was eager (still am) to run games in Garnett Elliott's  setting 'Primordial', outlined in the Sword and Sorcery Codex - I'd run it with BoL+Codex. But when I offered to either Tyre or Primordial to Alison she plumped for Tyre, so it's back to the time just before the Trojan War for us next.
