"I've run characters through Death Test for decades. They still die on me."
Yep, Melee, Wizard, and then The Fantasy Trip was the game that got me into RPGs back in the late 70s. I never played D&D until the early 90s, when a friend of ours taught my wife and I the game.
I've run the Death Test many times over the years, but with the new TFT Legacy Ed, we started playing a bit again. My wife and I have now run three different adventuring groups through it, and only the first group survived.
Still love TFT, and we will switch over to it from BoL from time to time.

No, we have stuck with the d6 dice.

So, last Saturday night we finished our 8th session (1 night per week) of our BoL Witcher campaign. My wife really likes this campaign - she is really enjoying the Witcher books (as am I) and wants to keep it going.
However, I am kind of tapped out at this time for more adventures, so I am thinking of returning to either our BoL Hyborian Age campaign or our BoL Warhammer Fantasy campaign. Going to have to think about it.

Wow! Sounds like you are having a blast with the Witcher.
I'm still in the middle of a run of Victorian monster hunter games at the moment. However, looking at the Codex I've been playing around with the idea of an 'anti-Conquistador' game.
As someone from Spanish descent, I am offended by your "Anti-Conquistador" game... (Kidding, kidding, kidding).
Sounds good, not an era or style that gets a lot of coverage in RPGs. I told my wife that after the Witcher Campaign, we might go back to Warhammer. I really like that setting a lot and have the classic "Night of Blood" adventure converted to BoL already and really want to run it for her. But it might be a while. To many campaigns/settings and not enough time.
I recently bought the rpg Eyes Beyond the Torchlight, it's mechanics remind me of BoL alot. But it uses differnt die types instead of ranks. So your character would have a Brawn d8, Agility d6, Intellect d6, and Presence d6. You add the die type from your attribute to a d20 roll and try to beat the Target Number of 12. Also has Boosts and Setbacks.
Interesting looking game from what I have seen on You Tube, I am trying to get my wife to give it a go... but she keeps saying "what will it do that BoL doesn't do?" Oh well...

A poster on RPGnet going by zcthu3, posted some things about using H&I for a Witcher setting back in Jan of 2020. Pretty good post. I took some of that and re-worked it for my own game and came up with my own house rule for making a Witcher character.
At creation, a Witcher character must take the following careers (no deviation):
Hunter/Tracker 1, Mage 1, Alchemist 1, and Investigator 1 (a career that I found on the internet, don't remember where or who made it up now)
A Witcher character then gets the following Boons at creation:
Witcher Boons

I ordered the book and pdf. Got the pdf and have been perusing it. First impression - its o.k. (scale of 1 - 10, about a 6 or 7?)
Might have some things in it that I will add to my version of BoL, time will tell. The adventures in the back do look promising though. The bestiary is pretty "tame" compared to my bestiary (I like my monsters/animal to be a little more "dangerous"). But it is interesting to see how others stat up creatures.
Got to go, working on a BoL Witcher campaign.

Kind of interesting, I guess. Maybe I'll pick it up later.

For me the issue with 3d6 is more to do with how it possibly minimises the impact of bonus and penalty dice.
I agree. I guess roll 4 and keep the 3 high or low depending on if it is a boon or flaw or
Assign a +1 or +2 bonus for a boon and a -1 or -2 penalty for a flaw?
Just tossing it out there, I don't really think that 3d6 is the way for me. I've been really thinking about going with 2d10 and a TN of 13. But have not made the switch yet, my wife really likes the 2d6 simplicity of the system. (I did buy a bunch of d10s a while back )

I remember using some of the stuff from the City-State of the Invincible Overload for my TFT games. No longer have any of the items, but I remember that it was a pretty detailed setting. It was my first city based setting.

So we played the "Bounty Hunters" adventure on 6-30 and 7-1. It played out pretty well. My wife's character didn't try to fight it out with the Bounty Hunters and negotiated with them successfully to allow her and her companion to go into the Charred Bogs and try to locate the Wizard who had bought the stolen gem from the thief. The Bounty Hunters took custody of the thief and gave Anya seven days to return with the gem.
The trip through the bogs was an eventful day and a half journey. They encountered a swamp dragon eight hours into the trip and then a swamp cat just outside the temple ruins. In the ruins, they managed to avoid being swarmed by a rat swarm (running into a room and closing the door behind them and then emerging with a torch did the trick), then they took out a pair of ghouls, a poisonous snake (Anya made her Strength task roll to avoid the poisons effects), and eventually the main baddie - a Nightgaunt.
They located the dead wizard's body and found the gem in the Nightgaunt's lair. Returning to Jalizar, they met up with the Bounty Hunters and traded the gem for the thief (Anya had to make a Mind task roll to overcome her "Greedy" flaw though).
Next up will be a short adventure detailing what has happened to Rykard. I made a pre-gen character for my wife to play during this short adventure, a female Valk spear wielder.
We did take last week off from BoL to run some characters through the Fantasy Trip's Death Test - did not go well for the characters, they all died. (There is a reason why they call it the Death Test...)
