I don't think there is any occasion in the rules in which you add 2 careers to the same roll.

This looks very interesting, but I just can't ever get on board with anything that uses armor class. I will likely still grab it because I am a collector, and most everything I have seen from Simon adds something to my gaming even if it's just ideas and not the game itself.

It works pretty much the same as in Bol except that you can never have more then one boon or one bane die on any roll. It is the 'next big thing' apparently as D&D5 advantage and disadvantage works the same way as well.

I used a TN of 14 (which I think is a bit high for straight translation).
Actually 9+ on 2d6 is a 27.8% chance of success and 14+ on 2d10 is a 28% chance of success.

Career 0 still gives you the skills for the career, you just don't get any bonus to your rolls.
