When I discovered BoV some time ago, I was thinking about using it with a Star Trek setup (see post #185). After reading the manual more carefully, I made some suggestions (post #192). Jasales liked them, and suggested me to work in the corresponding rules, so I started writing an "appendix" (renamed as "companion" later) with new careers, new space travel systems, more weapons... (post #210), and now I have a very-first draft with a couple of new careers, an extended list of space travel systems (I'm thinking about the trip duration rules now). The only problem is that I have had little free time lately to keep working on them. Once I have a first version, my intention is to extend it to the Star Trek universe.

Anyway, if somebody wants to take a look and give me constructive feedback, just tell me.

Thanks a lot for the info. The point of view of The Git is really clarifying. By the way, Gruntfyttock, that nasty little corporative rat of Aliens was one of the examples I was going to use. However, the most of the characters I had wrotten down are agents/spies, I'll have to think about it. If you have more Corporate Exec/Political Ops. in mind, please, by my guests and tell me.

Hi, everybody:

I'm currently writing a small Companion volume for BoV, just for fun. I'm working on new careers, new space travel systems, more weapons (thanks a lot, jasales!), etc.

One of the things I want to do is to offer more information about each career (both current and new ones):
1) a descriptions of the Attributes that career should stand out
2) which skills describe that career
3) include examples of well-known characters (from sci-fi movies, series, literature, games...) with that career

By doing this, I have realized that Agent/Spy and Corporate Executive/Political Operative are quite similar, in fact, they are too similar, since I have had problems for distinguishing which of both careers a character belongs to. So:

1) may you give me (or suggest) more information about the description of those careers?
2) if I am not the only one with that problem, maybe it would not be a bad idea to suggest nerosfiddle to check it in his rules

Please, don't missunderstand me, I am not telling nerosfiddle how to manage his game and which rules to use or not to use. I'm just telling what I think is true, that his rules (simple and effective) will be much probably used by other GMs for playing other scifi settings :-)

I have no problem in trying to convert my ideas into rules as soon as I have time for it. Anyway, beware that I'm not very good at that. Constructive criticism will be wellcome :-)  

By the way, thanks a lot for sharing your rules, they're great!
