My BoL game

Also posted on MeWe in the BoL group. My BoL game.

The world: a mix of The Black Company,  the cycles of Clark Ashton Smith, Lord Dunsany, the Silmarillion and Oldhammer (orcs, goblins and the Realm of Chaos books, maybe some skaven too).

The rules: BoL, bits of Everywhen and bits of Black Sword Hack (including usage dice). The premise: the last Cycle has recently passed, that was the Dominion of Insects, now the Time of the Scaled Ones (reptilians and serpents) has begun. During each Cycle more and more of the type of creature awakens and appears all over the planet, seeking to dominate. This culminates in larger and larger creatures of that type appearing and causing havoc until a titanic creature appears and is either defeated or takes over and reigns until it is destroyed and then the next Cycle begins.

Complications include daemons who do not have a cycle but can grant boons for favors (basically affecting usage dice-they can increase or reduce the die). And the Exiles of Fate, brooding forces of Law and Nature that can perform Miracles for worthy individuals.

More to come.....

Re: My BoL game

I posted the first report on the MeWe group, I have two and three to post. The pinnacle was Warhammer Chaos body horror in the form of Chaos mutations. This was a great motivator.

Re: My BoL game

The threat of choas mutation is always a great motivator!

I saw the MeWe report, but I was hoping the game hadn't died. It sounds a good one.

Re: My BoL game

It has not died, and I am happy to report that the youngest player makes excuses for me to run more games.
